BioSoil

Biological Foundation for Trees & Woody Plants

Genesis 8:22

As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.

Healthy trees and shrubs begin below the surface. BioSoil supports the microbial life that helps convert organic matter and naturally occurring nutrients into forms roots can utilize. Designed for orchards, landscapes, and woody plant systems, BioSoil builds the biological foundation needed for consistent growth and structural strength.

BioSoil is 100% natural mix of billions of beneficial microbes - bacteria and fungi - that plants must have for full health. Our proprietary mix of microbes strengthens the ecosystem in soils or other growing media. Woody plants can't directly consume most nutrition bound up in soil; they depend of microbes to process it for them, to make nutrients "bioavailable". Woody plants team with microbes to defend themselves against pests and pathogens such as blight, rusts, root rot, and harmful insects, to moderate pH and salinity and to improve water retention and soil aeration. Microbes play a vital role in promoting cellulose and lignin growth which form cell walls.

These crepe myrtle bushes experienced significant cold stress during the 2021 winter storm in Oklahoma, which brought nearly two weeks of below-freezing temperatures. After the ground thawed, BioSoil Formula was applied to the soil to support root-zone biology and encourage recovery. Throughout the growing season, the plants responded with unusually rapid new growth, and by August they had substantially increased in size and returned to full bloom. Supporting soil biology after environmental stress appeared to play an important role in reestablishing strong growth and recovery.
